What are the possible risks and side-effects from neurotoxin injections?

Our neurotoxin treatments are administered by our two certified nurse injectors, who have a deep understanding of the facial anatomy and appropriate neurotoxin placement, as well as injection techniques. Neurotoxins are a quick and safe procedure that have little to no impact on usual activity. Generally, neurotoxin injection side effects are rare and recovery is extremely swift. Minor common side effects include bruising, pain, and or swelling at the injection site, and a slight headache.

How long does it take for the results of neurotoxin injections to be seen?

We know that physiologically speaking, it takes 14 full days before we are able to see the full effects of these neurotoxins in effect. Some patients may see results as little as 3-5 days after treatment, but a full 14 days is needed to appreciate the maximum benefit of this treatment. On average, neurotoxin treatments last on average between 3-4 months, with the peak effects seen at 6 weeks post injections. We recommend that most patients schedule touch-ups every 3-4 months to maintain the best possible results.

What can I expect during and after my neurotoxin treatment?
